Last year we could have seen a massive come back of the print in our wardrobe, and this year carries the previous trend but with a floral touch more related to a sunny spring than a hot summer. From Etro to Burberry the print was on every catwalk. Obviously McQueen does a lot of floral print since many collections but this SS13 is like a meeting by all DA saying yeah let’s do some floral print! Last year I bought a floral jumper from Czech Republic from Aloha From Deer, I was a bit in advance on that trend as last year we saw the print coming back but in a more general way as you can see on this post from May of last year.

After having started this post, the amazing floral print collection by Raf Simons for mr Porter came out. I have nothing else to say, judge by yourself, I could buy the entire collection if I had the money! I already have a floral print jumper from last year but this kind of piece is really nice, we will see if after my summer I can get one (print on navy) jumper or the short!

Just before my trip to China I got by mail the new advertisement for the last Miss Dior campaign and I had to say that the floral scent of this fragrance is just a wonderful pleasure to smell. It is one of my favourite fragrance for women. Why mixing a fragrance and the last collection by Dior? Have a look at that video and try to see the common point, this floral scent from the fragrance, you can feel the same from this collection, around Spring and Summer, colourful and light.

To match with the collection I found the settings for the FW a bit more harmonious than the one in Shanghai, running the catwalk surrounding by bushes and trees was more in the scent of this collection. I wanted to share with you, as always, my four-favourites outfits from this season –

Cheers,

Thomas

The new collection by SuitSupply is now out! As it is one of my favourites brands I have to introduce it to you! This SS13, photographed by Carli Hermes in South Africa through a fisheye lens (I did not put any picture of it in this post because I could not get something smooth), carries the value of this brand (once again), elegance, fun, vintage and obviously a good quality at the right price.
The linen is highlighted for this season as it is really light, new colours joined this collection. The linen is really easy to wear and allow you to wear your jacket even if the weather is hot (like in South Africa).

This new collection comes also along the growth of accessories, indeed SuitSupply just chose the right path by developing this range. From shoes to leather-goods there are, now, enough choice to please your eyes and complete your outfit! This new collection comes also with big news, the opening of a new store in Hamburg on the 7th of March! I hope to be able to see the one in Shanghaï – and soon … one in Paris (it is a need, a big one).

Cheers,

Thomas

[From September] From this Fashion Week I had three or four designers that I have found really attractive and interesting but I will only write about Dolce & Gabbana in this post as they won for me the award of the most cheerfulness with their bright colour with a lot of red reminding us their campaigns full of life (that you can see on this post that a friend wrote). Among those colours we have loose tops & loose trousers, this is a aura of ease given by this new collection by Dolce & Gabbana for this new season S/S 2013.

[From February] As I wanted to publish this post a long time ago (before the FW) the AW13 was presented last weeks therefore I will merge them both into the same post. In this collection, and as I said in one of my post earlier (presenting the AW13 globally), is just the continuity of the SS13, we find the same quirky inspiration, to be honest at the first look I thought it was a reedition of a Tsar’s wardrobe. Precious stones, religious drawing, earrings, a colour pattern similar to some painting of the Russian tsarist history, to sum-up, I love it.

Cheers,

Thomas
